Street Tennis Players: Spring Playoffs Down to the Final Four

Avalon Park, Florida- The Street Tennis Ladder 8 week season is ending now with the Tournament Playoffs. The Playoffs started off with wild card playoffs. 21 players, 11 wildcards, and top 10 made it to the playoffs. Now were down to the Final 4. Who's your pick?

Quarter-Finals: Kurt the Hurt Collis got the win with 6-4 6-3 over Johnson Medicine Man Do. Great season Johnson Do pretty darn good playing this season had some sensational wins and was nearly invulnerable most of the season. Not bad for a doubles player/ pharmacist . Kurt advances to the semi finals vs Crusher Collins Walker this will be their first meeting.

Aaron Acer Pobocik vs Kenton Grinder Wu 4-6 6-4 2-1 Kenton retired do to cramping. Great season for Grinder achieved #1 status with 2 defenses. Semi-finals saw #3 Alex Papa Lozzi vs #2 The Acer #4 Kurt the Hurt vs #1 Crusher Collins Walker.

Acer and Lozzi met for their first ladder match of the year. In a super-tight semi-finals, Acer won 7-6, Papa Lozzi struck back 6-2, and Acer pulled it through 7-5 in the third set.

Collins vs Collis had schedule delays and will be played July 8 5:30pm at Tanja King Park.

The finals is scheduled for Saturday July 11 at 9:30am at Avalon Park South Village Courts where Acer awaits the outcome.

The Street Tennis Awards Banquet will be hosted by 5 Star highly rated Papa Lozzi Italia in Waterford Lakes at 1:00pm on July 12th.
